Farm fields & some hills with a Fish Fry (Or a Fish Fry with an optional bike ride)
This Wednesday’s ride is a 30.7 mile route starting at MJ Stevens Pub and Grill. To get to M J Stevens, take Highway 45 North out of Milwaukee to Highway K. Get off on Hwy K and go west about 2/10’s of a mile. Just after you go under the Hwy 45 overpass, take a right on Addison Road. Take Addison Road down about a mile and MJ Stevens is on your left. (The Highway K exit is just north of the Slinger exit for Hwy 144). MJ’s official address is
5260, 9550, Aurora Rd, Hartford, WI 53027
The ride is a 30.7 mile ride out in the country. Mostly farm fields, some hills and a few wind turbines. We skirt the far north side of Hartford going by the Hartford airport and go though the tiny community of Woodland and make a rest stop at the BP Station in Iron Ridge, WI. I specifically built this route around doing a Wednesday afternoon Fish Fry at MJ Stevens. I believe MJ’s has one of top 5 fish fry’s in the Metro Milwaukee area. And it’s popular enough that they offer it on Wednesday’s as well. I would recommend the 3-piece cod with waffle fries or the baked cod with drawn butter for the slightly healthier dinners. Their soups are homemade made from scratch and excellent, as is just about everything else on their menu. This ride has more hills than I would prefer, but the Fish Fry is worth it!
