What is this?
Who is St. Finbar and why is this ride named after him? It doesn't matter because this spiraling ride up along the west side of Cedarburg to Saukville, then back along the lake shore is so beautiful you'll be too busy checking out the scenery. Also note that the route doesn't go anywhere near Saint Finbar's Church in Newburg and there's no evidence to suggest that Saint Finbar ever actually rode this route. Just saying...
Rest rooms and water are available in Village Park.
Rest Stop in Saukville at the Kwik Trip on Hwy. 33 at Foster Drive.
After the ride, stay for lunch at the nearby Mequon Public Market.
MPM has a number of food vendors and offers both indoor and outdoor eating areas. MPM is located a short drive from Village park where Mequon road crosses the Ozaukee Bike Trail. (You know the place.)
Distance - 35 miles. 905 feet of climb. 4.7% steepest grade.
Start: Village Park in Thiensville.
